It's day three in Goa and the models' bitching and complaining has reached new heights.

The little diva wannabes started whining from day one about the "food situation" – even before today's announcement that Deanne is putting them all on special diet food for the rest of the competition.
 
For the first two days, they could eat the same food the judges and crew were eating, but apparently, in the time they had to wait between the courses, they'd get hungry all over again.
 
Nina's taking it the worst.  She's snapped at the hotel staff a couple of times and keeps making digs at Arika about her age. She even told Deanne that what she'd really like to eat is Butter Chicken.
 
The girls are also irritated by the rules, the camera, the work, their tiredness, the weather, the sun, the make up, homesickness, missing their boyfriends, no network coverage and even each other.
 
The incessant complaining is starting to grate on my ears.
 
And it's not doing much to help them impress the judges either.
 
Tonight Alison is training the girls to walk the ramp, and I'm hanging out with the judges. They start talking about how they wish there were more girls to choose from because they might possibly not find a real winner among these girls.
 
A light bulb goes on somewhere in my head. I start to tell them about this American reality show, P. Diddy's Making of the Band, where unimpressed by the girls, the judges actually start auditions again and bring in new girls! I suggest that maybe the Get Gorgeous judges should fool the models into believing that something like that is going to happen. That way they might pull up their socks and start performing to the best of their abilities.
 
The judges love the idea. I don't know if they can make this happen but it would definitely lead to an interesting turn of events. One thing is certain though, if the girls ever find out it was my idea… I'm as good as dead.
 
It's morning, and when I walk into the dinning area, some of the girls who aren't shooting are having a late breakfast. Tensions are rising. The eliminations are starting the today and two girls will be sent home.
 
Arika seems very quiet. Nina tells me that Arika, who according to her is a temperamental brat, is angry because she just yelled at her.
 
Amman (the marketing guy from Channel [v]), Nina and I strike up a conversation with Kirtana, who's been telling everyone that she doesn't know what she's doing here and doesn't care about winning the competition – and is starting to irritate the other girls.   We ask her what's going on, and she says that her bad attitude towards the show is because she's so into her work with an NGO. We point out that she's not at the NGO, and that right now this is her work. Nina's tells Kirtana to stop acting like she's better than all this. "Get that stick out of your arse," Nina says!  She isn't shy about repeating it for my camera as well.
 
Arlette, Mizpah, Rebecca, Rachel and to some extent Nidhi are still acting like a clique and helping each other deal with the stress. They're calling themselves the Famous Five. I don't know if I agree with that, but I'm pretty sure none of them are going to be among the first to get eliminated.
 
It's almost noon and I stop by Nidhi's room to pick up some earphones she said she'd lend me. Kirtana is sitting in the bed applying some concealer. I say I've never really figured out how to use concealer. All of the sudden Kirtana's applying it on me to show what a difference it makes. She proceeds to do up my entire face with a "day look". She's bossing me around a bit, and I sit with my eyes shut tight and my fingers crossed.
 
The make-up looks great! It's not as heavy as I thought it would be, which is a relief. And it's such a pleasant surprise to see Kirtana letting her guard down with me and being herself.
 
Over lunch, Manoj tells me about this morning's shoot. Today's challenge has the contestants in some very cute bikinis posing with kitchen pots and pans, as if they are doing print ad.  Manoj says that the girls he shot in the morning should have been more creative while posing with their kitchen props. They should have put more thought into it, he says.
 
It's after dinner and the girls have finished practicing their ramp walk and are sitting around, waiting for eliminations to begin. They're starting to get snappy with the crew and me as well. They have just one thing on their mind… elimination.
 
Everyone's worried about being eliminated at this point. But it seems like the girls with the most potential are more nervous than the ones the judges have been criticizing. Nidhi has one of the most stunning faces and a lovely body, but she's concerned because she's never modeled before. Arlette and Rebecca are also very worried when I don't think they should be.  Maybe they're not confident enough at this point.
 
I think that Sarika and Kirtana will be the two girls sent home. Sarika's filmy drama has not been well received by the judges, and Kirtana's disregard for everything to do with the show has not gone unnoticed. The judges have been, not so fondly, referring to them as "Tollywood" and "RJ".
 
It's after 10pm and the eliminations have begun. The girls are looking at their bikini pics and are about to go before the judges.
 
I haven't been told who's going home. This is scary for me, even though I'm not part of the competition. I'm stressed out!
 
Next week: training gets more intensive and the girls have two big surprises in store.
